"First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out — because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out — because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out — because I was not a Jew.
And then they came for me — and there was no one left to speak for me.
To sit back hoping that someday, some way, someone will make things right is to go on feeding the crocodile, hoping he will eat you last - but eat you he will. - Ronald Reagan
Bill's major points are right but he has errors. For example, Harding was the president who ignored the depression in the early 20s. Slavery was one cause of the Civil War but Republicans campaigned on and passed the Morrill Tariff which would have lead to a significant increase of money flowing from the mainly agriculture South to the industrial North. And the flag he showed was the battle flag of the Army of Northern Virginia, not any of the official flags of the CSA.
Bill could not cover everything but he did omit my favorite, the 1924 Klanbake Convention in NYC in which a little over half the national Democratic delegates voted to retain the KKK as a quasi-official wing of their party.
