The ’Student’s Corner’ has been developed specifically for the purpose of language comparison analyses between English and Hungarian. It displays topics based on students’ works, practical and interesting stories, rhetorics, propositions, sports, funnies, politics, etc.
These works are most often morphed from students’ homework assignments (but not exclusively). They are translated only when we have time, and changes may occur over time. In the final versions, we try to define precise matches between Hungarian and English, keeping in mind of the moods and flavors – enhancing them when compulsions arise. It all depends on how much spice we decide to throw into the mix of the original recipe, and how much I truly understood from the real meaning of that very original text. This corner really attempts to build paths from one culture, style and expressions to the other – between your world and mine.
When a student hands in his or her homework, first I correct the basics only. If the homework appeals to me, I may decide to put it on this site, at which time I modify it to better please potential readers and develop the ideas. As I can understand both English and Hungarian, you may see some articles in only one language for a time, until I have time to (get/have it) translate(d) [it]. This project is not worth pestering my students over – what was this again and, can you clarify that -, so I promote the story a bit by adding a bonus of continuity, significantly developed grammar structures and more vision.

1. students’ works.
The first time I correct a student’s homework and hand it back, it most often remains a basic draft for his/her learning of basic problems with basic errors. Then I make suggestions based on their levels, interests, etc. If I decide on transferring it to this website, I then sometimes revise the composition to better suit some points. Ultimately, other versions are developed throughout the translation process.
2. useful and interesting subject matters discussed.
My and my students’ interests are many so I try to put up interesting themes, styles, etc.
3. elocution.
Informative , suggestive and argumentative debates which will promote a strong level of quality in both the English and Hungarian languages. This is about the art of persuation using cognitive reasoning, elocution and dialect, e.g. politics, speeches and thoughts of reason.
„If you want to test someone’s true knowledge of a language, get him/her nervously excited or angry and then let him/her speak” (me). Well, I don’t want to do that for my students, but, as in my own experiences, creating significant rhetoric in both languages develops a finely carved etch in both your worlds and mine – plain and simple.
In conclusion, we are trying to present a small fraction of some interesting differencies between the English and Hungarian languages, which are full of specialities. I shed light to just a very small sample of them because of the volume.
